Глава 10

1 Когда филистимляне пошли в наступление на израильтян, израильтяне, увидев их, пустились бежать, и многие из них пали, сраженные филистимлянами на горах Гильбоа.

2 Филистимляне гнались за Саулом и его сыновьями по пятам и убили Ионафана, Авинадава и Малкишуа, сыновей Саула.

3 Жаркая это была битва для Саула. Сразили его стрелы вражеских лучников, причинили ему нестерпимую боль.

4 Саул сказал своему оруженосцу: «Достань свой меч и убей меня, чтобы не смогли надругаться надо мной эти необрезанные, когда придут сюда». Но оруженосец очень испугался и не осмелился этого сделать. Тогда Саул сам взял меч и пал на него.

5 Когда оруженосец увидел, что Саул мертв, он тоже пал на свой меч и умер.

6 Так погибли Саул и три его сына — вся семья Саула погибла вместе с ним.

7 Когда израильтяне, жившие в долине, увидели, что войско их бежало, а Саул и его сыновья убиты, они, оставив свои города, бежали. А филистимляне заняли их города и стали жить в них.

8 На другой день филистимляне пришли грабить убитых и нашли тела Саула и его сыновей, павших на горах Гильбоа.

9 Они раздели его и, взяв голову его, оружие и доспехи, повезли по всей земле филистимской, чтобы возвестить о победе перед идолами своими и перед всем народом.

10 Оружие Саула они поместили в капище своих богов, а голову прибили к стене в капище Дагона.

11 Когда услыхали жители Явеша Гиладского, что филистимляне сделали с Саулом,

12 собрались все их могучие воины, и забрали тела Саула и его сыновей, и перенесли их в Явеш. Останки похоронили под дубом в Явеше и семь дней после этого постились.

13 Так погиб Саул за измену ГОСПОДУ, за свое вероломство. Не внимал он слову ГОСПОДА, вопрошал вызывающую мертвых, с ней советовался,

14 а у ГОСПОДА совета не просил. Потому Господь умертвил его, а царство передал Давиду, сыну Иессея.

1 Now the Philistines6430 fought3898 against5921 Israel;3478 and the men376 of Israel3478 fled5127 from before6440 the Philistines,6430 and fell5307 down slain2491 in mount2022 Gilboa.1533

2 And the Philistines6430 followed1692 hard5221 after310 Saul,7586 and after310 his sons;1121 and the Philistines6430 slew5221 Jonathan,3129 and Abinadab,41 and Malchishua,4444 the sons1121 of Saul.7586

3 And the battle4421 went sore3513 against5921 Saul,7586 and the archers3384 7198 hit4672 him, and he was wounded2342 of the archers.3384

4 Then said559 Saul7586 to his armor bearer,5375 3627 Draw8025 your sword,2719 and thrust1856 me through therewith; lest6435 these428 uncircumcised6189 come935 and abuse5953 me. But his armor bearer5375 3627 would14 not; for he was sore3966 afraid.3372 So Saul7586 took3947 a sword,2719 and fell5307 on it.

5 And when his armor bearer5375 3627 saw7200 that Saul7586 was dead,4191 he fell5307 likewise1571 on5921 the sword,2719 and died.4191

6 So Saul7586 died,4191 and his three7969 sons,1121 and all3605 his house1004 died4191 together.3162

7 And when all3605 the men376 of Israel3478 that were in the valley6010 saw7200 that they fled,5127 and that Saul7586 and his sons1121 were dead,4191 then they forsook5800 their cities,5892 and fled:5127 and the Philistines6430 came935 and dwelled3427 in them.

8 And it came1961 to pass on the morrow,4283 when the Philistines6430 came935 to strip6584 the slain,2491 that they found4672 Saul7586 and his sons1121 fallen5307 in mount2022 Gilboa.1533

9 And when they had stripped6584 him, they took5375 his head,7218 and his armor,3627 and sent7971 into the land776 of the Philistines6430 round5439 about, to carry1319 tidings1319 to their idols,6091 and to the people.5971

10 And they put7760 his armor3627 in the house1004 of their gods,430 and fastened8628 his head1538 in the temple1004 of Dagon.1712

11 And when all3605 Jabeshgilead3003 1568 heard8085 all3605 that the Philistines6430 had done6213 to Saul,7586

12 They arose,6965 all3605 the valiant2428 men,376 and took5375 away the body1480 of Saul,7586 and the bodies1480 of his sons,1121 and brought935 them to Jabesh,3003 and buried6912 their bones6106 under8478 the oak424 in Jabesh,3003 and fasted6684 seven7651 days.3117

13 So Saul7586 died4191 for his transgression4604 which834 he committed4603 against the LORD,3068 even against5921 the word1697 of the LORD,3068 which834 he kept8104 not, and also1571 for asking7592 counsel of one that had a familiar spirit,178 to inquire1875 of it;

14 And inquired1875 not of the LORD:3068 therefore he slew4191 him, and turned5437 the kingdom4410 to David1732 the son1121 of Jesse.3448

6 Так погибли Саул и три его сына — вся семья Саула погибла вместе с ним.

6 So Saul7586 died,4191 and his three7969 sons,1121 and all3605 his house1004 died4191 together.3162

7 Когда израильтяне, жившие в долине, увидели, что войско их бежало, а Саул и его сыновья убиты, они, оставив свои города, бежали. А филистимляне заняли их города и стали жить в них.

7 And when all3605 the men376 of Israel3478 that were in the valley6010 saw7200 that they fled,5127 and that Saul7586 and his sons1121 were dead,4191 then they forsook5800 their cities,5892 and fled:5127 and the Philistines6430 came935 and dwelled3427 in them.
